Preservation League Honors Pillars of New York

The Preservation League of New York State recently honored two families with proud traditions of stewardship and preservation of New York's irreplaceable buildings and landscapes with its most prestigious commendation at the 2009 Pillar of New York Awards Gala at the Waldorf=Astoria in New York City.

The Pell Family was celebrated for their leadership since 1820 in the preservation of Fort Ticonderoga and its surroundings, and the Pratt Family for their leadership in the founding and preservation of the Pratt Institute Campus, design excellence, and landscape protection.
