The League’s Preservation Book Club is breaking out of Zoom for a rare in-person event during the statewide conference. Join us for a casual meetup and facilitated discussion of The Monsters of Templeton by Lauren Groff. Set in a thinly veiled stand-in for Cooperstown, this is a coming-of-age-story full of history and ghosts. We’ll be meeting to discuss the book and ideas around how places shape us (and how we shape them in return) at The Local Bird, a locally owned shop and coffee bar in the heart of the Cooperstown Historic District. Space is limited, so please register in advance by adding this to your registration. Those who register before March 20 will receive a Preservation Book Club care package before the conference, including the book! Questions? Email Katy Peace at kpeace@preservenys.org.
The League’s Preservation Book Club programming is made possible thanks to our sponsor, the Peggy N. & Roger G. Gerry Charitable Trust.
