Jay DiLorenzo
President
Jay DiLorenzo has served as the President of the Preservation League of New York State since January 2005. Prior to serving as President, Jay served as the League’s Interim President, Vice President for Administration and Development, and beginning in 2000, as the League’s Director of Development. Before joining the League, Jay served as the Director of Development for the United Way of Schenectady County.
Jay has a Master of Science Degree in Building Conservation from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s School of Architecture and a Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Sciences with a concentration in Legal Studies from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Jay currently serves as an appointed member of the New York State Historic Preservation Board.
Caitlin Meives, Director of Preservation
Caitlin Meives is the Director of Preservation at the Preservation League of New York State. Caitlin manages the League’s technical outreach and programming including community and virtual workshops, site specific outreach and services, grant programs, the historic trades initiative, the Preservation Colleagues program, and advocacy efforts for properties including our Seven to Save endangered properties program. In her previous position, Caitlin served as the Director of Preservation at The Landmark Society of Western New York where she organized the New York Statewide Preservation Conference and co-founded the Young Urban Preservationists (YUPs). Caitlin holds a M.S. in historic preservation from the University of Vermont and B.A. in history and Spanish from the University of Rochester. Caitlin was included on the inaugural Dismantle Preservation (un)Official 40 Under 40 list in 2020. She serves on the Board of Directors for the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions. Caitlin lives in Rochester, NY.
Katy Peace, Director of Communications
Katy Peace has been working with nonprofits for more than 15 years — at arts organizations, a park conservancy, and now in historic preservation. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Art History from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2006, followed by a Master of Arts Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh in 2012. She currently serves as the Director of Communications for the Preservation League of NYS, engaging a statewide audience through strategic storytelling and public programming. Katy manages all aspects of the League’s external communications, including press, social media, and email marketing. Her work includes the League’s Preservation Book Club and Future of Preservation webinar series; programs aimed at exploring the connections between preservation and culturally important topics like planning, housing, diversity, and a sense of place. She serves as a volunteer for her local Library Friends group and received a 2024 40 Under 40 Award from SUNY New Paltz. She lives in Schenectady, NY, with her husband, daughter, and large orange cat.
Kaitlyn Robitaille , Director of Development
Kaitlyn Robitaille has nearly ten years fundraising experience, having worked at nonprofit organizations including the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, the New Britain Museum of American Art and just prior to the League, Project SAGE, a domestic violence prevention agency in northwestern Connecticut. Kaitlyn has a Masters degree from Trinity College in American Studies, an undergraduate degree in history from SUNY New Paltz, and an AAS degree from Dutchess Community College in early childhood education. At the League, Kaitlyn oversees all aspects of the League’s fundraising strategy, including managing the annual Pillar Gala and the organization's leadership giving group, the Excelsior Society, and its statewide tour program. Kaitlyn lives in Poughkeepsie, NY, with her husband, daughter, and many pets.

Janna Rudler joined the League team in 2017 as a parttime Field Consultant for the Southern Tier. She began her current role as Grants and Technical Services Manager in 2021. Janna leads in-person grant workshops and coordinates with all League grantees to help move their projects forward. Prior to this, Janna worked for about a decade as the Director of Development at the Bundy Museum of History and Art in Binghamton. She received a BA in Anthropology from Binghamton University and an MA in History Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program.

Gabriel Santos, Fundraising Database Manager
Gabriel Santos comes to the League with over 6 years experience in the nonprofit sector, working in both events and fundraising. Gabe is also a baseball event organizer who plans games with sandlot teams from around the country. In his free time he enjoys exploring museums and immersing himself in vintage stores and estate sales.
