The 2022 Pillar of New York Awards Event Recap
What an evening! Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2022 Pillar Awards one of our most inspirational yet. On Tuesday, April 5, we were joined by over 200 friends, supporters, activists, and donors, both in person and virtually, to celebrate our 2022 Pillars of New York: Nancy & Otis Pearsall, A’Lelia Bundles, and Elizabeth & Ethan Finkelstein. In addition to our awardees, Tuesday’s event helped us raise over $350,000 to further the League’s mission of historic preservation as one of the best ways to build thriving neighborhoods, promote economic development and sustainable growth, and provide a bulwark against climate change. For more than 25 years, the Preservation League of New York State has been honoring corporations and individuals who have taken extraordinary action to protect, preserve, and promote New York’s artistic and architectural heritage. This event is the League’s largest annual fundraiser — supporting the Pillar Awards supports the League’s statewide work all year long.
